Las Palmas began with an object rather than a portrait: a sculptural brass lamp whose sweeping palm-like leaves caught Wendy Buiter’s attention. Those forms found their way into the work as jewelry, becoming part of the muse’s extravagant visual identity. With its Art Deco sensibility and cosmopolitan character, Las Palmas sits somewhere between portraiture, fashion and interior design, a reminder that inspiration can begin with an object and end as an entirely different world.
Presented in a handcrafted black wooden floater frame, the Petite Edition is signed, individually numbered and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. Every work is permanently documented in Wendy Buiter's official archive, preserving its provenance for generations to come.
